Service Description
The course entails four hours of classroom training and a requirement to successfully show use of a firearm on the training range. Completion of the course will make participants eligible to submit for a Maryland HQL which allows you to legally purchase a firearm for home or business defense. This course does not qualify participants to open or concealed carry weapons in the State of Maryland. During the course we review: Pistol knowledge and operation Pistol action types Rules for safe gun handling and use Ammunition knowledge Fundamentals of pistol shooting Intro to MD firearms laws Selecting your first pistol Maintenance and storage Application process After instruction, all participants will participate in a live fire session. Course completion requires successful use of a firearm. The HQL course does not provide the level of training necessary to build your skills. Consider taking a skills building session with us for one-on-one instruction. Guntry.com has strict adherence to COVID19 precautions. Masks will be required for the entire course while at this location. All participants will be required to sign a waver, and must arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the course start time. Please note you must be age 18 and over to obtain the HQL.
